This is a tailored treatment using vacuum cups to draw the skin and underlying tissue upward into the cup. Cupping is a great way to improve circulation, relax muscle tissue, free restrictions and ease pain. Suction ranges from light to heavy depending upon your comfort level.

More and more research shows that most of the pain we associate "sore muscles" to is actually happening in the myofascial or soft tissue layers. These fascial layers can get restricted, can get stuck down onto the muscular layers and can cause nerve entrapments. All of this results in limiting mobility, postural compensation, pain and weakness. Fortunately we have the tools and the training to help.

The tools may be hard-edged, but the techniques don’t need to be aggressive to deliver superior outcome. Your therapist has advanced training in utilizing tools to assist with soft tissue restrictions effecting your muscles, nerves and lymphatic system. As with any massage, the pressure is based on what is going on with your body. Light work can be done to enhance lymphatic flow or the reduce hypersensitivity from post surgery, nerve entrapment, or RSD. Deeper pressure can be used for deep fascial work and adhesions.
